Monrovia, Liberia – Representative Frank Saah Foko of Montserrado County’s District #9 has vowed to disrupt President Joseph Boakai’s upcoming State of the Nation Address if Speaker Cllr. Fonati Koffa is not allowed to preside over the session.

In a fiery press conference, Rep. Foko criticized President Boakai’s 11 months in office, describing his administration as “fraudulent and dominated by corrupt officials misusing state resources.” He urged citizens of District #9 to join him in a peaceful rally to send a strong message to the government about protecting the rule of law and upholding governance principles.

Speaking to journalists, the lawmaker revealed plans to mobilize 10,000 supporters to march on the grounds of the Capitol Building. The protest, according to him, will also target members of the majority bloc over ongoing budget hearings.

Rep. Foko also took aim at Vice President Mussa Hassan Bility, describing his recent remarks on Spoon Talk as a “slap in the face of the presidency.” The District #9 representative accused the Vice President of seeking public attention in a bid to position himself as a future presidential candidate.

“We will disrupt and resist the State of the Nation Address of President Boakai if they deny Fonati from presiding over the session because he is the legal speaker. Without Fonati, no other person will preside over any session. Any attempt to resist us will provoke a reaction the President won’t love to see happen.”
