Monrovia- The 2024/2025 Liberia Football Association League will kick-off this Wednesday with mouth-watering fixtures set to usher in the new season.

14 clubs will participate in the First Division, 16 in the Second Division while 12 in the Upper Women’s League.

LISCR FC will get their season underway in a fierce battle with defending champions Watanga FC at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Stadium while last season Orange Cup winners, Paynesville FC will take on Global Pharma by 1:30 at the same venue.

At the old age Antoinette Tubman Stadium in down town Monrovia, the opening day will produce an eye-catching game with FC Bea Mountain facing the rejuvenated FC Fassell by 4pm.

In Grand Bassa County, all eyes will be on Mighty Barrolle when they welcome Heaven Eleven at the Doris William Sports Pitch in the Port City of Buchanan during the afternoon hours.

Also on match-day one, Liberia’s second most successful club, Invincible Eleven [IE] will travel across Monrovia to take on Seven time champions, LPRC Oliers at the Tusa Field in the community of Gardnersville.

As for football lovers in Kakata, Margibi County, they will have the opportunity to see new boys Shaita FC fight to collect three points in their opening fixture against Freeport FC that have no attachment to the Freeport of Monrovia.

To conclude the day one opening games in the first division chase, two newly promoted side Black Man Warriors and Discovereies SA will lack horn at the D-Tweh field in New Kru Town.

The 2024/25 Liberian football season will run for over 20 weeks will conclude around April of 2025.

There will hopefully be a break in December for the national County Sports meet, allowing players to represent their respective counties.

Also for fans, they are eagerly anticipating a better and new style of paly from clubs, with the hopes of securing titles, qualifying for the African Club competitions, or simply maintaining their first division status.
