Bong County – Representative Robert Flomo Womba has launched the construction of multiple water tower stations across Bong County Electoral District Four.

According to Rep. Womba, the water towers are intended to combat the consumption of unsafe drinking water, which continues to cause waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and cholera.

“Our people have suffered too long without access to clean water. Building these water tower stations will help ease that burden,” Rep. Womba stated. “Water is life, and our efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

Rep. Womba further revealed that the towers are being constructed in key towns and villages within the district that have long struggled to access safe drinking water.

He listed Belefania, Gbalatuah, Paye-Ta, and Shiankpalah among the communities currently benefiting from the project and pledged to extend the initiative to other areas.

“We intend to reach every town and village in our district because our people deserve better,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Rep. Womba criticized the recent Supreme Court ruling, describing it as a blatant violation of the principle of separation of powers among the three branches of government.

He reaffirmed his support for the legislative majority bloc, stating that they have lost confidence in the leadership of embattled Speaker Cllr. Fonati Koffa.

Rep. Womba made these remarks in an interview with our reporter over the weekend.
