Sinoe County, Liberia – January 30, 2025 – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Sinoe County Detachment has executed a successful drug bust, resulting in the arrest of two suspected drug dealers in Pailatukan Town.

The early morning operation, led by S/G3 Milton K. Howard, commander of the LDEA Sinoe County Detachment, was carried out at approximately 7:00 AM. Officers targeted the residences of Lydia Wleh, 57, and Ruth Snyder, 44, both Liberian nationals, following intelligence reports of illegal drug activities.

During the search, authorities discovered 100 wraps of marijuana and a long-pipe single-barrel gun in the possession of Lydia Wleh. Meanwhile, Ruth Snyder was found with a quarter plate of high-grade marijuana, valued at approximately $50 USD (9,500 LRD).

Following their arrest, both suspects were thoroughly investigated, formally charged, and have since been forwarded to court for prosecution.

The LDEA’s successful operation reinforces its commitment to combating drug-related crimes and maintaining public safety in Sinoe County. Authorities have assured residents of continued efforts to crack down on illicit drug activities and bring perpetrators to justice.
