The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Naymote-Liberia to strengthen efforts in governance and the fight against corruption.
The agreement formalizes a partnership to implement the Governance and Anti-Corruption Fellowship (GAF) Program, a two-year initiative aimed at training young leaders across the country. The program targets emerging leaders, civic actors, university students leaders, and young professionals in the public sector.
According to the partners, the Fellowship will focus on building skills in transparency, accountability, and integrity. It is described as the first program of its kind in Liberia. Officials clarified that the MOU signing does not mark the official launch of the Fellowship, as the formal launch will be announced at a later date.
Under the partnership agreement, Naymote and LACC plan to support Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID 2025-2029), strengthen ties between civil society and public institutions, and create opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
The collaboration will also encourage innovation and research in anti-corruption work. With nearly three-quarters of Liberia population under the age of 35, the partners say the initiative is an investment in the country’s democratic future.
Both institutions committed to shaping a new generation of leaders who will promote good governance and help build a transparent and accountable government.
