Monrovia, Liberia – January 6, 2025: The Coalition for Democratic Change – Council of Patriots (CDC-COP) has announced plans to hold a transformative Special Convention this January in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County.
The convention, themed “Rallying the Nation Through Robust Patriotic Actions for Liberia’s Redemption,” will include the democratic election of a new leadership team, a first in the history of the movement.
As part of preparations, the National Executive Council has dissolved all existing leadership positions to ensure fairness and transparency in the process. Karn B. Sherman has been appointed as the Special Convention Coordinator to oversee the proceedings.
The CDC-COP, a prominent political civil rights movement, is calling on all members with strong moral standing and dedication to service to register their candidacy through the Convention Coordinator.

The National Executive Council expressed confidence that this event will serve as a turning point for the movement, reaffirming its commitment to democracy, equity, and justice for the Liberian people.
