Suakoko, Bong – District #5 Representative Engine JM Kollie has stepped up to help victims of the recent storm disaster, providing materials worth over Seven Thousand United States Dollars ($7,000.00USD)
It can be recalled that on January 24, a severe storm struck Bong County leaving many residents homeless.
During the distributing of materials, Representative Kollie explained that the donation was a way to providing aid to residents of the District who were affected by the storm Disaster.
The donations included over sixty bundles of zinc and 60 bags of 25 kg rice, which were given to residents of Suakoko and Sergeant Kollie Town.
Kollie expressed his commitment to improving the lives of the people in Bong County, despite the challenges at the national level. He promised to continue fulfilling his responsibilities as a representative and to bring more development to the district.
Beneficiaries of the donation, including Bendu Forkpah from Thomas’ Farm, Samuel F. Sinatuah from SKT, and Mary Paye from SKT, thanked Representative Kollie for his timely support.
They assured that they would use the materials as intended and called on the Liberian government and humanitarian organizations for further assistance.
They shared their thoughts with reporters in Suakoko City, highlighting the need for ongoing support in their recovery efforts.
