Monrovia, October 11, 2024 – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Alhaji Amadu Sheriff, a revered centenarian and respected leader, during a visit to his family in Chocolate City. In his speech, the President expressed his condolences and solidarity with the grieving family, describing Alhaji Sheriff as both a dear friend and a brother who played an instrumental role in Liberia’s development.

Reflecting on Alhaji Amadu Sheriff’s extraordinary life and legacy, President Boakai lauded his unwavering commitment to the nation’s progress and the well-being of its citizens. “Alhaji Amadu Sheriff was more than a friend to me; he was a brother. His dedication to Liberia has left an indelible mark that will be remembered for generations to come,” the President said.

During the visit, President Boakai reassured the family that they have the nation’s support during this difficult time and called on all Liberians to honor Alhaji Sheriff’s legacy by embracing unity, service, and dedication to the country. “Let us commit ourselves to the ideals he stood for—a vision of a stronger, more united Liberia,” he concluded.
