We are pleased to officially announce the appointment of Mr. Trokon G. Flahnma Jr. as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of our institution.

Mr. Flahnma is a seasoned media professional with over eight years of training and hands-on experience in journalism and media practice.

Media Career (2016 – Present)
Mr. Flahnma began his journalism journey in 2016 through Fabric Radio’s flagship media training program, The New Generation, where he was mentored by veteran journalists, educators, and media experts. In 2017, he transitioned to a full-time role at Fabric Radio, where he worked as a cub reporter. Over the next five years, he served in various capacities, including talk show host, newscaster, program producer, and reporter.

From 2017 to 2022, he was assigned to cover the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT), during which he helped establish the MICAT Reporters Network and served as its first chairman. Following Fabric Radio’s acquisition by the Spoon Group of Companies in 2022, Mr. Flahnma joined Spoon Network, where he served as Executive Mansion reporter, Judicial and Legislative correspondent, and later became the producer of the popular Spoon Talk program. He also co-hosted The Today Show, the network’s flagship breakfast program.

On May 20, 2025, Mr. Flahnma officially resigned from the Spoon Group of Companies. Alongside his professional endeavors, he co-founded Drone Network News- Liberia (DNNEWS).

Education and Professional Training
Mr. Flahnma holds an Associate Degree in Petroleum Engineering from St. Clements University and an Associate Degree in Accounting from Lincoln College of Professional Studies. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Public Administration at the United Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU).

He has also earned multiple certificates and diplomas in journalism, including training in:

  • Gender-Based Violence Reporting

    Humanitarian Engagement
    Beyond journalism, Mr. Flahnma has demonstrated a commitment to humanitarian causes. Since 2022, he has served as Director of Media and Communications for the Jonahsa Foundation, further reflecting his passion for public service and advocacy.
