The Ministry of Agriculture is proposing a budget of 50 million U.S. dollars for the 2025 fiscal year to implement its National Agricultural Plan.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s regular press briefing, Agriculture Minister Dr. Alexander Nutah revealed that the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) has formally presented its proposal to all 103 lawmakers, seeking their support for the budgetary appropriation.
Minister Nutah stated that if the requested funding is approved, it will enable the ministry to cultivate 50 thousand hectares of agricultural produce as part of their efforts to boost the sector especially Rice production.
