Presidential aspirant Samuel James Kpartor has issued a strong call to preserve the integrity and constitutionality of the Federation of Liberian Youth’s electoral process amid growing concerns about serious procedural violations.

In a press statement released on October 21, 2025, Kpartor outlined troubling inconsistencies and breaches in the ongoing election preparations of which he said it undermines the federation’s democratic foundations.

He highlighted failures to comply with the 2018 Amended Constitution of FLY, particularly the unclear election timeline, flawed membership and delegate accreditation, and signs of political interference threatening the federation’s non-partisan stance.

“The Federation of Liberian Youth stands at a critical crossroads,” Kpartor said, urging a pause in the electoral process to correct these irregularities.

He condemned the recent announcement of a five-member Advisory Board by FLY President Banica Stephenie Elliott as constitutionally questionable, especially given the absence of endorsement by the General Assembly.

Kpartor called for transparency through the immediate suspension of the flawed process, publication of updated membership rosters, and an independent electoral review by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

He called on all stakeholders to commit to protecting FLY’s independence from political manipulation.
