In an era where the world is evolving into technology, the Sharda University which is located spicely in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, India, offers Courses that meet with present day reality thus becoming a beacon of hope for knowledge seeking.
In a recent conversation, Jankai Abdullah Sesay, a Teaching Assistant from the University of Liberia’s Department of History and a prospective Graduate of the Sharda University, shared his enriching experiences as a Master’s student in Modern History.
” Sharda University is a place to be,it has qualified instructors and its lession are up to date” Jankai Abdullah Sesay stressed, nothing that his journey at the University is part of a broader academic collaboration between the University of Liberia (UL) and Sharda University, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and fostering cross-cultural academic exchanges.
” Despite being an instructor at the University of Liberia, my journey at the he Sharda University has given me more exposure,my teaching methodology has improved greatly” he stated.
The Sharda University and the University of Liberia has since signed a Memorandum of Understanding that fosters Academy exchange and the building of Teachers capacity.
Sesay lauded the Administration of the Sharda University, Dr. Al- Hassan Konteh, former Acting President of the University of Liberia, Dr. Layli Maparyan, Current President of UL and Dr. Josephus Gray,Dean of the Amos C Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities for the opportunity given him to pursue advance education in the Asian Country.

Sesay described his time at Sharda University as transformative, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and inclusivity. “Being at Sharda University is an amazing experience,” he noted, emphasizing the university’s fair and standardized evaluation system that treats all students equally, regardless of their backgrounds. He also appreciated the warm and hospitable nature of the Indian people, which made his stay even more memorable.
Strengthening Liberia-India Academic Ties
The partnership between UL and Sharda University, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in October 2022, has opened doors for numerous Liberian students and faculty members.
This collaboration encompasses joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of new academic programs. Sesay’s presence at Sharda University symbolizes the deepening relationship between the two institutions and the broader educational ties between Liberia and India.
