DN-News Liberia wishes to clarify that, contrary to the statement made by Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah on the Class Reloaded alleging that we conducted unauthorized recording at his birthday celebration, we did not conduct any unauthorized recording at his residence during the event marking his 58th birthday.

Our team was formally invited to the occasion to provide media coverage, and our presence and purpose were fully known to both the host and attendees.

As part of our editorial approach, we captured and shared short video highlights from the celebration. These posts were shared in good faith as part of our birthday compliments to the Minister. We even did a Live coverage.

One particular video, featuring LTA Commissioner Patrick Honnah “spraying money”, with the caption “Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah @58”- has since gone viral.

We would like to emphasize that this video—like all others from the event—was not recorded or shared with any ill intent. It was part of our general event coverage.

While we take full editorial responsibility for the content we publish, we have no control over how members of the public choose to further share or interpret material once it is made public.

DN News Liberia remains committed to ethical, balanced, and professional journalism. We value our relationships with public officials and the Liberian people, and we will continue to report with integrity and transparency.
