Attendees of the popular NSPPD event who crossed borders from Sierra Leone and Guinea have expressed frustration over not experiencing any healings.
DN News visited the SKD Sports Complex this morning to observe the aftermath of the prayer conference held by Nigerian social media preacher and healer, Pastor Jerry Eze.
Our reporter on the scene noticed large amounts of garbage scattered around and hundreds of plastic chairs outside the complex, suggesting that thousands of people gathered outside due to the overwhelming crowd inside the stadium.
DN News also observed many individuals with travel bags at the premises; some were boarding buses, while others waited for transportation.
Some of those boarding buses shared with DN News that they had heard about the prayer conference in their countries, particularly Sierra Leone and Guinea, and had traveled to Liberia specifically to attend the mass gathering.
They explained that they came seeking healing for various ailments, both physical and spiritual, yet none of them reported being healed.
“The same way we came, that’s how we’re going back; none of us got well,” one woman shared.
“We’re disappointed, but it’s God who heals,” said a young man walking with crutches.
They believe that only Liberians experienced any healings.
The conference attracted more than 30,000 people from across Liberia, with over 40,000 more watching online.
Pastor Jerry faced initial criticism on social media for wearing attire some believed was suited to a secular celebrity rather than a preacher.
