Gbarnga, Bong County – Bong County Technical College (BCTC) Vice President for Administration and Institutional Advancement James Saybay’s long standing reputation is becoming to drag in mud, as students plan to protest, demanding his resignation, following the release of a controversial nude video that allegedly shows him in a compromising situation.
The nude video, which surfaced on social media on August 15, 2024, appears to protray Saybay engaging in inappropriate behavior during a video call with an unidentified woman.
However, in an official statement, the BCTC’s Vice President for Administration has has earlier denied being the person in the video, claiming it is a computer-generated clip through the use of Artificial intelligence (AI), with an aim to damage his high earned reputation.
He vowed to take legal action against anyone who shares the video, asserting that it is part of a targeted effort to harm his character.
Despite his denial, the situation has led to widespread mockery among students, with some reportedly referring to him as “Walking Naked.”
Sources close to the campus, who wished to remain anonymous, say that his presence has become a distraction, with many students openly ridiculing him.
Local political figures, including members of the Bong Legislative Caucus, have taken notice of the situation, though most have chosen not to comment publicly.
Marvin Cole, the representative for Bong County District #3, criticized the video, calling it a “disgrace” to BCTC and urging the college administration to take immediate action.
“The only government-run college in the county cannot have someone of that caliber still employed,” Rep. Cole stated.
As of now, BCTC has not released an official statement regarding the incident. Meanwhile, students are reportedly organizing a protest to demand Saybay’s removal from his position.
Tensions on campus have been further heightened by Saybay’s recent disciplinary actions against students wearing sleeveless clothing, which have drawn criticism amid the ongoing scandal.
