Monrovia – Former Liberian President George Weah has urged members of the Muslim community to desist from dishonest practices against one another, emphasizing that such actions hinder divine blessings.

Speaking at the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) headquarters during a ceremony marking the end of Ramadan, Weah called for unity and integrity among Liberian Muslims.

“All of you that are hateful, after this day, take away hate from your soul so God can give you the blessings that you are waiting for,” Weah said.

He further admonished those who engage in fraudulent acts, particularly against their fellow Muslims.

“All of you that like to crook even your own people, stop it so God can bless you. All of you that when they give something for the benefit of the Muslim community, you take it from them—please stop,” he added.

The event brought together hundreds of Muslims to observe the end of the holy month of fasting, with Weah using the occasion to call for greater honesty and fairness within the community.
