Margibi: Hon. Emmanuel O. Yarh, Representative of Margibi District #4, has started rural road construction aimed at linking major towns and villages in the district. The project officially began on Tuesday, February 2, 2026, with a groundbreaking ceremony in Tormu Town.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rep. Yarh said he was moved after seeing citizens open the road with their bare hands. He noted that working directly with the people is part of his duty as a lawmaker.

Rep. Yarh said the road will ease transportation problems, allow free movement of vehicles, and help farmers move their produce to markets. He called on the residents to cooperate with the yellow machine operators to ensure the work is completed on time.

Tormu Town Chief, Jerry M. Kleeme, praised the initiative and promised full community support, describing the project as the first major development the town has seen. Also speaking, Paramount Chief of Kakata Chiefdom, Edwin Lorpukollie Naimah, commended Rep. Yarh for bringing development to the district.

Chief Naimah, believed that Rep. Yarh is the first lawmaker in the district history to buy a yellow machine and is it for public work, adding that his two years in office have proven critics wrong.
