HERZLIYA, ISRAEL – June 9, 2026 Hundreds of supporters, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate as former Monrovia City Mayor, former Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Youth League Chairman, and current CDC Secretary General Jefferson T. Koijee graduated from Reichman University in Israel with a Master’s Degree.
The achievement marks a significant academic milestone for Koijee, who has been one of Liberia’s prominent political figures over the past decade. Supporters described the graduation as a reflection of his commitment to education, leadership, and personal development.
Koijee received his degree from Reichman University, one of Israel’s most respected and internationally recognized institutions of higher learning. Located in Herzliya, a city along Israel’s Mediterranean coast, the university is known for its strong programs in government, diplomacy, law, business, entrepreneurship, communications, and public policy.
Founded in 1994 as the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya by Professor Uriel Reichman, the institution became Israel’s first private university in 2021 and was renamed Reichman University. Since then, it has earned a reputation as a leading academic institution attracting students from around the world.
The university is particularly recognized for its international programs taught in English, its American-style teaching model, and its emphasis on leadership, innovation, and global engagement. Reichman University has become a destination for students seeking careers in government, diplomacy, business, technology, and international affairs.
As Israel’s only private university, Reichman has developed strong international partnerships and hosts students from dozens of countries, making it one of the most globally connected institutions in the region.
Koijee’s graduation adds to his academic journey, having previously earned a degree from the University of Liberia before pursuing postgraduate studies abroad. The June 9 ceremony drew attention from Liberians both at home and abroad, many of whom congratulated the former mayor on his latest accomplishment.
For many supporters, the moment symbolized not only a personal achievement for Koijee but also the value of continuous learning and professional growth in public leadership.
