DN News Liberia has learned from sources that Anwar Futloo, General Manager of the Boulevard Palace, has died.
According to reports, Futloo allegedly drank caustic soda, a cleaning chemical, while visiting a friend’s house on 9th Street.
It remains unclear whether it was accidental or a suicidal attack as another source points to Futloo hurriedly rushing into the house minutes before the incident occurred.
The chemical reportedly caused severe burns to his throat and internal organs, resulting in his death a few hours later.
The incident happened in the afternoon, and Futloo was pronounced dead later Monday evening. He died at the JFK memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, A security guard who was at the home of deceased when the incident occurred is being investigated by police at Zone 2, Slipway Station.
