Bong County Superintendent Loileyah Hawa Norris has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to NAYMOTE Partners for Democratic Development, a vital supporter of Bong County since 2018.

NAYMOTE has played a key role in helping locals understand the Local Government Act (LGA) of 2018, which aims to decentralize national governance in Liberia.

Superintendent Norris spoke at a recent event at the Bong County Women Center, where she highlighted the importance of NAYMOTE’s efforts in educating the community about local governance.

“I want to thank NAYMOTE for choosing Bong County. We are honored to have you here,” she said, noting the positive impact the partnership has had on the county. She encouraged everyone to support NAYMOTE’s initiatives.

During her speech, Norris also mentioned the upcoming visit of an American ambassador, stating, “It’s great to know that our partners are always aware and here for us.”

She expressed her appreciation for the ongoing support from NAYMOTE and emphasized the need for the community to focus on local development.

Norris urged citizens to take charge of their future, especially as the political landscape changes. “Only the citizens and civil society can truly drive our development forward. It’s time for us to shift our focus from politics to building a better future,” she said.

In closing, Superintendent Norris encouraged the youth to unite for progress, stating, “If we stand together, we can achieve great things.” She expressed hope for a bright future for Bong County and urged everyone to work together for community development.
