[Caldwell, Liberia] The Management of The Liberia Water & Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has officially dedicated its newly rehabilitated Caldwell Booster Station at Caldwell Junction, Bushrod Island. This Dedication represents an important advancement to providing clean and safe drinking water to central Monrovia, addressing long-standing water supply challenges in the area.
The Caldwell Booster Station, which suffered a devastating damage by a gutted fire in 2019, has been rebuilt under the current management of The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation, which is led by Mo Ali, Managing Director.
During the dedication ceremony, the Managing Director, Mo Ali emphasized the institution’s commitment to expanding access to clean water, announcing plans for three counties to receive pipe-borne water by 2025.
“This initiative is part of The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation broader strategy to enhance water distribution across Liberia.” He stated.
In his remarks, The Managing Director of the institution revealed that a new water supply facility in Gbarpolu County is nearing completion and will soon be dedicated. He noted that the current developments reflect on the corporation’s ongoing efforts to improve quality water access for Liberians, particularly in the rural regions.
Senator Darius Dillon of Montserrado County, who also attended the dedication event and also officially cut the ribbon of the facility praised the Managing Director, Mo Ali for his dedication, naming him as the “Best Public Official of the Year.”
“His leadership has been instrumental in revitalizing the Corporation and advancing its mission to ensure reliable water services for all citizens.” He lauded MD Mo Ali, expressing his gratitude and commitment of how he has ably been managing the corporation.
