Monrovia – Outstanding public servants from across Liberia will be honored during the 2026 National Public Service Day celebration, which the Civil Service Agency (CSA) has announced will be held in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, CSA Director-General Josiah F. Joekai disclosed that the event is scheduled for June 23 and will feature President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. as keynote speaker.
Joekai said the decision to host the annual observance in Nimba County reflects the government’s commitment to decentralization and its effort to ensure that major national programs are not concentrated solely in Monrovia.
According to him, all government ministries, agencies, and commissions have been requested to send eight institutional heads and five employees to participate in the event. However, he noted that several institutions have exceeded the required number of delegates, with some registering between 10 and 12 participants.
He further revealed that more than 40 government institutions have already confirmed their participation, signaling strong interest in this year’s celebration.
A major highlight of the event will be the recognition of outstanding public servants and institutions for their dedication, professionalism, innovation, and significant contributions to improving public service delivery and advancing national development.
The National Public Service Day celebration is intended to promote excellence, accountability, and efficiency in government service while recognizing individuals and institutions that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to serving the Liberian people.
