Margibi — The West Africa Assemblies of God Youth Alliance (WAAGA/J.J.A.D.A.O.) has concluded its 4th International Youth Assembly in Liberia, bringing together about 600 young people from 11 West African countries. The five-day conference was held from August 4–9, 2026, at the Booker Washington Institute (BWI) Campus in Kakata under the theme “Empowered to Impact, with Acts 1:8 as its biblical text.
The conference brought together young people from countries including Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger, Togo and Ivory Coast’s, among others. Participants engaged in preaching, worship, workshops, teaching sessions and plenary discussions aimed at strengthening their faith and equipping them for service.
Speaking exclusively with DN-News Liberia at the close of the conference, WAAGA Liberia President and host, Reverend Isaac G. Jolokleh, said the gathering was designed to help young people build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and remain committed to their faith amid growing challenges.
He said the assembly also focused on winning souls for Christ and empowering young people economically so they can positively influence their communities and make meaningful contributions to society.
Rev Jolokleh described the conference as a success, saying it ended without major difficulties. He thanked the participating countries and delegates for coming to Liberia and commended them for their support, while highlighting the good reception and smooth progress of the gathering.
