Greenville, Sinoe County – The body of 18-year-old Prince Saylee, a senior student of St. Joseph Catholic High School and a computer trainee at the Technical Vocational Education and SMHS Training Center (TVET), has been discovered in the Sinoe River after he went missing for several days, raising serious concerns of a potential foul Play.
According to family members, Prince left their home on November 29, 2025, at about 3:00 PM and never returned. Efforts by relatives and community members to locate him proved unsuccessful, leading to growing concern throughout the Greenville area.
On Monday, his remains were discovered in the Sinoe River near an “old ship,” bringing an end to days of search and uncertainty. Preliminary reports from the scene indicate that the circumstances surrounding Prince’s death appear suspicious.
According to information gathered, the deceased was discovered with severe injuries, including the removal of certain facial features.
Investigators say these details raise serious concerns about possible foul play.
The Liberia National Police Sinoe Detachment has launched a full-scale investigation to the established the actual cause of death as further examination continues.
The death of Prince Saylee has sent shockwaves through the St. Joseph Catholic High School community and the broader Greenville area, where he was known as a bright and promising student preparing for graduation.
Residents are calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the teenager.
“This issue needs a very serious investigation, possibly the inclusion of autopsy, because we believe this guy did not die from drowning,” stated one of the residents.
Meanwhile, security authority in Greenville is urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation progresses.
