Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, has announced that a new batch of China-aid police assistance supplies is on the way to further strengthen Liberia’s security sector.
The announcement was made during the graduation ceremony of the Executive Protection Service (EPS) Class 2 training program, held over the weekend in Monrovia.Ambassador Yin commended the Liberia National Police (LNP) under the leadership of Inspector General Gregory Coleman for their tireless efforts in enhancing law enforcement capabilities and maintaining national stability.
He praised the graduates for successfully completing the rigorous EPS training, describing their achievement as both a personal milestone and a significant step in advancing Liberia’s security preparedness.
“China has always been a steadfast supporter of Liberia’s peace and development. We have provided training programs, scholarships, and police equipment in response to the needs of the LNP,” Ambassador Yin stated. “As a reliable strategic partner, China will continue to work hand-in-hand with Liberia to strengthen cooperation in law enforcement and security.
This new batch of assistance supplies is expected to give a boost to Liberia’s capabilities in the security sector.”The EPS training program, which equips officers with advanced executive protection skills, has been a crucial part of Liberia’s broader efforts to enhance its professional law enforcement capacity.
Ambassador Yin expressed optimism that the growing friendship and cooperation between China and Liberia will yield even greater results in the years ahead.
