Bo Waterside, Grand Cape Mount County – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has made a major breakthrough in its fight against drug trafficking, seizing 2.34 kilograms of cocaine valued at $126,846 USD (L$24,734,970).

On February 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM, officers at the LDEA Bo Waterside detachment intercepted 44-year-old suspect David Dioumessy, a Nigerian national residing in Conakry, Guinea. Dioumessy, who was traveling with a Guinean-issued ECOWAS passport (No. 001070389), was arrested while attempting to evade a search at a warehouse. The illicit drugs were found concealed in his suitcase.
The suspect is currently in LDEA custody undergoing investigation. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug trafficking and substance abuse, urging the public to cooperate and share information to help keep Liberia drug-free.
