Ganta City, Nimba county ——The Franklin Duarto Humanitarian Foundation has made a significant donation of sanitary materials to several health centers across District #8 in Nimba County.
Clarence Kpayele, representing the foundation, presented the donation, emphasizing that it is a gesture of goodwill and support for maternity care. The donation is part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to assist health facilities in the district and complement the government’s efforts.
The donated items include Dextol, Chloride, and tissue, and the beneficiary clinics are Tunukpuyee Clinic, Bunadin Clinic, Kpain Clinic, and the only private health center in Sokopa, AWS medical and laboratory clinic.
In response, the recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donation, calling it timely and a great relief. They acknowledged that while the government does provide these materials, shortages occasionally occur.
The recipients include Brooks Menleh, OIC of Tunukpuyee Clinic; Nyah Ben, OIC of Bunadin Clinic; and Teewon Karnue, OIC of Kpain Clinic.
The officers in charge of the health centers also highlighted various challenges faced by their facilities and appealed to the foundation for continued support and intervention.
Mr. Kpayele has assured community members and health practitioners that their concerns and recommendations would be taken into account. He emphasized that the foundation’s next intervention would specifically target the pressing issues raised by healthcare workers.
He also conveyed the unwavering dedication of the foundation’s CEO, Franklin Duarto, to improving healthcare services. He noted that Duatto’s background in the health sector gives him a deep understanding of the complex challenges affecting healthcare in Liberia.
Encouraging residents to prioritize service to humanity, he called for collective efforts in creating a sustainable environment where everyone can access quality healthcare.
Since its establishment in 2014, the Franklin Duarto Humanitarian Foundation has actively supported Liberia’s healthcare sector by providing sanitary materials to health facilities and complementing government efforts to improve healthcare services across the country.
The Franklin Duarto Humanitarian Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the healthcare challenges faced by residents of Electoral District #8 and Nimba County at large.
