The Jonahsa Foundation Inc. has launched a distribution of school supplies benefiting over 200 children in Liberia. This initiative coincides with the foundation’s new Personal Hygiene initiative.
The event brought together students from various institutions, including the Smythe Road School System and Early Child Development Preparatory.
During the launch, students received essential items such as notebooks, backpacks, pens, and pencils, while the schools benefited from sanitation supplies, including toilets, soap, handwashing buckets, and detergents.
Since its inception in 2015, the Jonahsa Foundation has supported over 8,000 underprivileged schoolchildren across Liberia.
At the launch event in Monrovia, Mr. Jonah Barcon, Founder and President of the Jonahsa Foundation, expressed gratitude to partners, volunteers, and school administrators for their ongoing support. He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to humanitarian efforts and the importance of assisting underprivileged children.
“By November, with God’s grace, we will officially break ground for the Jonahsa Foundation Facility, which will include a school, clinics, a library, and dormitories for both boys and girls near RIA,” Barcon announced.
Students who received the supplies expressed their appreciation to the foundation for its support and the focus on personal hygiene. The event was held under the theme “Your Health is Your Wealth.”
